If you had seen a movie called Catch Me If You Can starred by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, then you might be familiar with the name of Frank Abagnale, there was nothing special about the guy; except he was a Pilot, a Doctor, and a Lawyer, and he reached those positions before he even lights his birthday cake candles for his 21st birthday. Such an amazing achievement for a young man, except he wasn’t that bright, he was a con artist.
Throughout his teenage life, before he was arrested at the age of 21, he had cashed approximately $2.5 million from what they called as bad check — fake check — alone. At age 16, he impersonated to be a Pan Am’s pilot, he learned everything about navigation into how a pilot behaved, once his schemed noticed by the authorities, he changed his own identity again and became a Doctor, then later on his final act, he impersonated a lawyer and married a girl using that identity. What’s so interesting from Abagnale’s story is how in the world, a local hospital, or even a large airways company could be fooled by this young teenager?
